The planting distance for the size 28/35 is 24 to 26 centimeter. For the size 35/50 this is 29/31 centimeter. We also advice this planting distance for the size 50/60 cut seed potatoes. Always count the tubers and keep in mind that heavier soils require a narrower planting distance.
Avoid scab sensitive soils. Planting in white sprout stage is recommended. It is advisable to wait with planting until the soil has warmed up. Taisiya is not sensitive for Metribuzin.
We advice to spray against Phytophthora at 80% emergence. A second application of N fertilizer around tuberset is adviced and start at the same time with irrigation to prevent scab. Taisiya has a healthy foliage.
Wait with harvest until the skin has matured. Harvest carefully to prevent damage, bruising and storage diseases. Take care of good ventilation until the product is dry. For long storage regularly ventilation is adviced and cool down gradually to 4-5°C. Before transport warm up slowly up to 12-15°C.
