Den Hartigh is committed to protecting your privacy. Personal data will be therefore carefully processed and secured by us. In this privacy statement we explain which data we collect and use and for what purpose.

Processing of personal data

Den Hartigh may process your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. For example, you can provide us with contact details if you want to communicate with us, if you want to get more information about our services, when you want to apply for a position within our organization or if you want to do business with us. We process this personal data for the performance of our services and/or to inform you. We only use this data for the processing of your request.

We may also acquire information through third parties that indirectly relates to you. When we do so, we ask the third party concerned to ensure that the information has been lawfully obtained and that we have the right to acquire and use that information from them.

In addition, we are interested in data that says something about the use of our website, for example the number of visitors in a certain period, from which countries our visitors come and which pages are viewed the most. For this purpose, we can register your IP address and domain name. In order to adapt the facilities and functions to the user’s equipment, we also keep track of the type of browser with which you approach our website. The information obtained is the property of Den Hartigh.

Den Hartigh uses cookies on its website. We use these to remember your settings and preferences. You can disable cookies via your browser. You can also set per browser that you completely refrain from receiving cookies, this limits the user experience of the website. Google Analytics also registers your cookies. We use to gain insight into the visitors of our website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as these third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this.

 

Use of personal data

Den Hartigh collects and uses your personal data to provide the information, services and services you request and to manage the website. Den Hartigh may also use your personal data to keep you informed of Den Hartigh’s services. We may also use your personal data for research or analysis, with the aim of improving our services.

Den Hartigh needs a legal basis to process your personal data. Den Hartigh processes your personal data based on processing grounds such as the execution of an agreement, on the basis of a legal obligation or through your consent. In the case of consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time.

Your privacy is respected by all our employees. The information and personal data will be treated confidentially, including by third parties responsible for the security of your data storage and not used for purposes other than those stated.

 

Transfer to third parties

Den Hartigh neither sells, sends nor leases customer lists to third parties. Den Hartigh never discloses your personal data without notice, except where required by law or we believe in good faith that such an act is necessary to:

  • comply with a legal request;
  • protect and defend The Hartigh’s rights or property;
  • act under urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Den Hartigh or the public.

We may in some cases have the personal data you provide processed by third parties. For example, Den Hartigh can hire a supplier to carry out administrative and operational work to support our mutual relationship. These suppliers are bound by contractual and other legal obligations to handle your data confidentially and to respect your privacy. They only have access to the personal data they need to carry out their work. If required, we will enter into a processing agreement with this third party.

 

Retention of personal data

The starting point for the retention of personal data is that all data is not stored longer than necessary. Den Hartigh does not store personal data for longer than is necessary to achieve the purposes for which the data is collected. Except for this, the data that we have to keep for longer because the law obliges us to do so.

 

Security of personal data

Den Hartigh ensures appropriate organisational, technical and physical security of your personal data. Den Hartigh securely stores personal data that you provide to computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Den Hartigh has an SSL security certificate.

 

Automated decision-making

Den Hartigh does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that can have (significant) consequences for people.

 

Your rights

You have the right to information, access or rectification, deletion, restriction of processing or the right to data portability. If you wish to exercise your rights, please send a specified request to R.Beuling@denhartigh-potato.nl. To ensure that the request has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of ID proof. In this copy, black out the passport photo, MRZ (MachineReadable Zone,the strip with numbers at the bottom of thepassport), passport number and BSN. This is to protect your privacy. Den Hartigh will respond to your request as soon as possible, at least within four weeks.

 

Amendment of this statement

This privacy statement may be amended. Den Hartigh will update the privacy statement when necessary. Den Hartigh recommends that you consult this statement periodically to stay informed.
