The planting distance for Noya size 28/35 is 23 to 25 centimeters. For size 35/50 this is 28 to 30 centimeters. We also recommend this planting distance for 50/60 cut seed potatoes. Always count the tubers and keep a closer planting distance in heavier soils.
Avoid scab-prone soils, Noya is susceptible to wart. This table variety has a long dormancy. For best results, plant Noya in the white sprouts stage. We recommend removing the tubers from the cold store in time before planting and avoid condensation before and during planting. Noya does not require much N fertilizer.
We recommend spraying against Phytophthora at 80% emergence. It is also advisable to start irrigating early to prevent scab. A second (small) N fertilizer application is recommended around flowering. Noya can develop a lot of leaves. Haulm killing is not necessarily a problem, but it does require attention.
Wait until the skin has matured before harvesting. Be careful with mother tubers and avoid harvest damage. After harvest, provide good ventilation during storage until the potatoes are dry. If you store Noya for a long time, then ventilate and cool gradually. Warm up slowly before transport.
