The planting distance for size 28/35 is 23 to 25 centimeters. For size 35/50, a distance of 28 to 30 centimeters is adviced. We also recommend this planting distance for 50/60 cut potatoes. Always count the tubers and keep in mind that heavier soils require a closer planting distance.

Gaya performs well on all soil types. For best results, plant Gaya in the white sprouts stage. Treatment against Rhizoctonia during planting is desirable. To avoid contamination, we recommend avoiding condensation before and during planting.

At 80% emergence you start spraying against Phythophthora. A second nitrogen application is adviced around tuberization.

Gaya has no problems with haulm killing. Wait with harvest until the skin is matured. Be careful with mother tubers and avoid damage during harvest. After harvesting, ensure good ventilation during storage until the potatoes are dry. For long-term storage, we recommend regular ventilation and gradually cooling down to 4-5°C. Warm up gradually to 12-15°C before transport.
