The planting distance for size 28/35 is 25 to 27 centimeters. For size 35/50, a distance of 30 to 32 centimeters is adviced. We also recommend this planting distance for the 50/60 cut seed. Always count the tubers and keep in mind that heavier soils require a closer planting distance.
Plant Endeavour in the white very small sprouts stage at usual depth and be sure the ridges are built up with care for best results. Endeavour is not sensible for Metribuzin (Sencor). Do not use K-choloride as calcium source in spring.
Start spraying against Phytophthora at 80% emergence. Prevent stress and high soil temperatures during the season. A second application of N-fertilizer is needed around tuberization. Check the size of the tubers at the end of the season before haulm killing. We recommend carrying out test harvests to determine the tuber size at the end of the season.
After haulm killing, allow tuber skin to mature in the field before harvesting. Harvest carefully to avoid mechanical damage, bruising and storage problems. Cool down Endeavour during storage gradually down to 7°C and check frying color (reducing sugars) regularly during storage.
