Based in Emmeloord DEN HARTIGH operates from “the center of the potato world”.

Most varieties distributed by DEN HARTIGH originate from her sister company and breeding station IJSSELMEERPOLDERS.

The company history dates back to 1936. In 1976 it was decided to specialize in seed potatoes only and as a consequence IJSSELMEERPOLDERS was founded to initiate breeding of new potato varieties.

We strongly believe in one-to-one contacts and a flexible approach to fit into our customer’s needs. Over the years DEN HARTIGH developed a good network of dedicated agents in more than 40 European, African, American and Asian countries.

We want to make sure, that farmers using our seeds can rely on a good crop outcome and a healthy product to sell in their market.
